Aching all over, it's time for wine and reflection on what happened today... A quick trip to homebase to buy every sample of red paint they had should hopefully sort out the neon pink wall which should be 'plum' - there does not seem to be much correlation between the name of the paint, the colour chart or how it dries when painted on the wall!
Both Jim and Al were also there today fitting and testing yet more lights and electric gizmos. Jim tested the fire alarm today which made us jump 6ft in the air and make for the nearest exit! The blue kick lights are all installed and working, and I finally got to see the roof lights on in the dark - they look amazing! Lance made a brief appearance to fit out some more of our ensuite, which removed any excuses I had for cleaning it. 2hrs of dry rubbing all the tiles and grout, then sweeping and finally covering the floor with protector so that nothing gets damaged. Then the family bathroom had the same treatment... Whilst Dan got the phone and wifi working... And cleared out the fireplace ready for tomorrow!
The amount of dust is awful - we were all covered by the time we left, but at least we have a clean start to the week. Tomorrow is fireplace day and involves a fork lift truck and over 2m of glass... Watch this space for an update!
